Going Green

As part of Valiant Hire’s sustainability programme, every quarter we look through our inventory and choose items that we can give away to local charities, public schools and other community based organizations. We figure that we can really help these charities and also greatly reduce the furniture that goes to landfills.
Most of the furniture rental items that we donate are in good condition. Last week in Sydney, Valiant Hire donated ensemble beds, bedside tables, chairs, sofas and rugs to the Smith Family.

Office Design and Changing Office Space

I found an interesting article about the advertising giant Grey moving, not only physical address, but from its traditional hierarchal office design to open plan.
As most people had private offices, management spent a year introducing the open plan to employees and in coming month a business psychologist who will hold “space therapy” sessions to ease any lingering concerns about the move.
