Running the Australian Elections not only requires a great deal of preparation beforehand, but it also requires reliable furniture and appliances to ensure everything runs smoothly.
For the 2016 federal election, the government teams hired Valiant to supply several furniture and appliances needed to run the election. Valiant was perfectly positioned to deliver large volumes of furniture across Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.
Valiant supplied over 300 venues across Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. These included provincial polling stations hundreds of kilometres outside major cities. We carried out intensive interstate management of delivery loads and schedules. Overall, our trucks travelled an approximate distance of 25,000 km during the election period.
The 2016 federal elections' double dissolution meant the extension of the election period. Furniture, appliances, and equipment hired from Valiant were needed for an additional 2 to 4 weeks. This meant adjusting delivery schedules and furniture stock across all 3 states. With proper coordination and cooperation among teams, Valiant managed this challenging task and successfully supported the election hire period extension.
