Graphic Designer

Location: Sydney

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional in-house mid-weight Digital Graphic Designer to join our company and play a key role in growing our brand by way of graphic material creation and campaign ideation.

As Digital Graphic Designer, your visual communication expertise will be key in helping plan and execute impactful campaigns to strengthen our brand, including the amplification of our online and social media presence.

You will be working closely with our Marketing Manager, Senior Creative Stylist/ Procurement Manager, and Marketing Executive from campaign development to translating these into effective and engaging executions across a broad range of platforms, including assistance in social media strategy.

Job tasks and responsibilities

70% digital campaign related tasks and materials, 20% brand management and social media strategy related tasks, 10% simple print material and a broad range of other creatives.

  • Designing & building digital campaign creatives for integrated digital marketing campaigns for the different Valiant Brands – EDMs, social posts, email banners, banner ads, and website material
  • Playing a key role in integrated campaign planning, with an emphasis on social media executions across key social media channels. This may include brainstorming on copy.
  • Creation of simple yet engaging video content for social media using curated material from stylists
  • Assistance in managing website updates & laying out of blog posts and other content
  • Designing a range of simple print materials and preparing them for print suppliers - ads, fliers, banners, etc.
  • Reviewing of materials created by other teams to ensure branding guidelines are adhered to
  • Curation and updating of templates for internal teams - presentations, existing sales collateral, etc.
  • Assisting with photo and video shoots when necessary

Skills and experience

  • 2-3 years in an agency or in-house creative team with a strong design portfolio
  • Experience being involved or having assisted with social media strategy and/or coordination is a big plus.
  • Experience creating impactful visuals for integrated marketing campaigns
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Front end design ability is a big plus
  • Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent) is a plus
  • Photography experience a plus
