Navigating Sustainability Claims in 2026

The importance of collaboration in sustainability

Sustainability remains one of the most important — and complex — conversations facing businesses in 2026. While the path forward isn’t always straightforward, meaningful progress happens when organisations come together to share ideas, challenges, and practical solutions.

Sharing industry perspectives

Recently, Valiant Furniture Solutions’ Creative Director, Francesca Sykes, participated in an industry panel exploring the realities of building and communicating sustainable business practices. The discussion focused on both actionable steps organisations can implement today, as well as the broader challenges and opportunities that come with operating responsibly.

Francesca joined an inspiring panel alongside Anna Baird from Bared Footwear, Mindy Leow from B Lab Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand, and Kate Williams from 1% for the Planet. Together, the panel shared perspectives on transparency, accountability, and the role businesses play in driving positive environmental and social impact.

Bringing together the sustainability community

Hosted by Kiarne Treacy of Sustainable Choice Group, the event brought together a strong community of sustainability leaders and practitioners. Held within the Bared Footwear showroom, the setting created a welcoming environment for open dialogue, connection, and shared learning.
