The Challenge: Two Distinct Spaces, One Unified Vision
Our client engaged us to refresh the furniture in two separate areas within the Australia Square building: the main lobby and a marketing services team area on level 6. The challenge was to create a cohesive design that respected the building's architectural integrity while enhancing the user experience in both spaces.
Creating a Welcoming Lobby Space
For the main lobby, the goal was to provide additional seating options that not only accommodated more visitors but also encouraged connection and comfort. We focused on selecting pieces that were both inviting and durable, capable of withstanding the high traffic typical of a lobby area. The design also needed to complement the existing architecture, ensuring that the new furniture felt like a natural extension of the space.

Tailored Solutions for the Marketing Services Team
On level 6, the requirements were different. Here, the client needed a suite of furniture that catered specifically to the needs of their marketing services team. The furniture had to support collaboration and creativity while maintaining a professional appearance. We worked closely with the client's design team to select pieces that offered flexibility in use, allowing the space to adapt to various work styles and activities.

This project’s success was largely due to the collaborative approach we took with the client’s design team. By working together, we were able to co-create multiple furniture applications that not only met the functional needs of each space but also paid homage to the original architecture of the Australia Square building.
